We offer thoughtful, editorial-style photography across a range of work, including family sessions, individual portraits, behind-the-scenes coverage, and visual storytelling for community initiatives, artists, and small businesses. No studios. No filters. Just honest photography with presence, atmosphere, and long-term value.

PRICING
Our pricing is flexible and value-based, reflecting the complexity, creativity, and time invested in each project. This approach allows us to accommodate everything from straightforward family sessions to intricate productions, ensuring high-quality results without rigid hourly constraints. Factors such as planning, concept development, location scouting, talent coordination, shooting, editing, and any client-induced delays or extensive revisions influence the final price. We’ll always provide a transparent breakdown upfront to avoid surprises.
Services for Businesses and Organizations
For commercial projects, events, branding campaigns, or organizational needs, we create customized quotes to match your goals and scale. To get started: Email us a concise brief outlining your project (e.g., objectives, timeline, deliverables, and budget expectations) at hello@timecapsuletapes.com. We’ll respond with a personalized quote within 48 hours. For larger or more in-depth initiatives (e.g., multi-day shoots, team collaborations, or integrated storytelling), we recommend scheduling an initial meeting to discuss details and refine the scope.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes β we ask for a 50% deposit to confirm all bookings. This secures your session date and allows us to begin planning and preparation.
If your project involves additional costs (such as booking venues, sourcing props, or coordinating with stylists or contractors), these expenses must be paid upfront so we can organise everything on your behalf. We’ll always discuss these details with you ahead of time and provide a clear breakdown of any third-party costs.
Some projects may require a progress payment. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the final edited images, unless otherwise agreed.
Do you charge extra for assistants?
Yes. If a second shooter or lighting assistant is required, our hourly rate increases to reflect the added personnel and gear.
Can you arrange hair and makeup?
We recommend clients organize their own hair and makeup artists to avoid added admin costs.
If you’d prefer us to handle it, we can β but please note this will include a coordination fee to cover time spent sourcing and communicating with stylists.
Do you charge for travel?
We do not charge for travel within the Maltese mainland. However, finding parking and commuting to and from the venue can take significant time β we appreciate your understanding if arrival or setup takes longer than expected.
Why are creative services expensive?
Unlike tradespeople who can serve multiple clients a day, creative professionals must dedicate many hours per project. We plan, prepare, shoot, edit, retouch, communicate, manage files, and handle delivery β often including unpaid behind-the-scenes work.
Our pricing ensures we can continue delivering thoughtful, reliable, and meaningful visual work.
For coordination and creative ideation:
β’ β¬30ββ¬40 per hour, depending on the level of creative input and planning involved.
β’ It often requires skilled thinking, ideation, and strategy, not just time.
β’ This work shapes the entire outcome of the shoot.
β’ It often includes client consultation, moodboarding, shot list creation, sourcing locations/props, and back-and-forth that doesn’t get visibly “produced,” but is essential.
For basic coordination, we charge β¬25β30/hr.
For high-level creative direction or custom concept development, β¬35β40/hr.
Enhanced Service Fee
For high-stakes projects where the material is especially valuable, timing is critical, or there’s no room for error β we usually apply an additional fee.
This covers:
β’ Added preparation and contingency planning (e.g. backup gear, additional personnel)
β’ Heightened pressure and responsibility
β’ Time-sensitive delivery or restricted access conditions
Weβll always discuss this openly beforehand so expectations are clear on both sides.
What if Iβm not happy with the final images?
When you hire us, youβre investing in our time, preparation, creative direction, photography, and post-production β not just the final set of images. For that reason, payment is required regardless of the outcome.
That said, we genuinely care about delivering meaningful work and positive experiences. If you feel the results donβt meet your expectations, weβre always open to finding a fair solution. This might include a discounted re-shoot or a reduced rate on a future booking, depending on the situation.
Can you photograph our charity event or passion project for free?
We do not accept unsolicited requests for unpaid work. While we occasionally document causes we personally support β either as a gift or as part of a self-initiated project β this is always by our own choice.
